Crystal clear blue ocean and a part green covered lava wall which make you feel like you are being sucked in. There is no end to the charm of Hanauma Bay. I have painted the bay from another angle.
22. 皇居二重橋
22. Double Bridge in Imperial Palace

いつもの散歩コース、皇居二重橋前に来て驚いた。水面が大きな鏡となり、二重橋を完全に映し出していた。
My ordinally walking course, I was surprised when coming in front of the double bridge in Imperial Palace. The water surface became a big mirror and it reflected the bridge completely.

向日葵が咲き誇る夏、昆虫も目いっぱい生きている。普段は地味なキタテハが向日葵の上で妙に輝いていた。きっと何か良いことがありますよ。
In the summer when sunflowers are in full bloom, insects are also living their lives to the fullest. Normally plain Asian Comma was strangely shining on top of the sunflower. Definitely, something good will happen.

In the Nordic country of Denmark, there is a culture that values summer vacation. I painted a secene of summer in Copenhagen. As summers get increasingly hotter each year, make sure to take proper vacations and enjoy your time.

By a lakeside in Copenhagen during summer. I felt a vitality in the lush greenery. When I listened carefully, I could hear the sounds of insects and the chirping of birds. Please also try to tune your ears.

When I went to Four Seasons Forest, dense woods created dim shadows. It was a hot summer but I have realized that a little bit of autumn has finally come.

今回はニセコまで足を延ばした。夜でもここの雪質は最高だ。昔、電車を乗り継ぎ、遥々たどり着いた北海道ニセコを思いだす。道中での恩は決して忘れない。
I extended my trip to Niseko at this time. The snow quality here is superb even at night. I remember those days when I went all the way to Niseko Hokkaido by transferring trains. I will never forget the kindness received during the travel.

When visiting a shrine, narcissus was sparkling brightly. Known as "hermit of waterside", narcissus is an auspicious flower that attracts good fortune. Surely, good things will come to you too.

東京、石神井川沿いに今年も歩いてみた。川の両側の満開の桜に圧倒されたが、害虫被害により枝を落とす木も増えた。この満開の光景をいつまで楽しめるだろうか。
I took a walk along the Shakujii River in Tokyo again this year. I was overwhelmed by the cherry blossoms in full bloom on both sides of the river, but there were also more trees dropping branches due to pest damage. I wonder how long we'll be able to enjoy this breathtaking sight of full bloom.

ワイキキの中心にあるロイヤルハワイアンホテル、「太平洋のピンクパレス」とも言われる。オアフ島に来ると必ず一度は訪れる場所、私のお気に入りのハワイの一つだ。
The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, located in the heart of Waikiki, is also known as the "Pink Palace of the Pacific." It is a place I visit always at least once when I come to Oahu, and it is one of my favorite spots in Hawaii.

I painted Waikiki Beach spreading out in front of the Royal Hawaiian with Diamond Head in the background. The emerald blue sea under the blue sky continues to captivate people.

クイーンズビーチ手前、カラカウア通り沿いの波乗サーファーを描いてみた。常に本物のハワイアンレイを身に着けるハワイを象徴する銅像の一つだろう。
I have painted "Surfer on A Wave" along Kalakaua Avenue, just before Queens Beach. It is probably one of the sculptures symbolizing Hawaii that is always decorated with real Hawaiian leis.

ホノルル動物園の裏、パキ通りにはモンキーポッド並木がある。日立の歌「この木何の木」と同一種の木、私のお気に入りの並木通りだ。
Behind the Honolulu Zoo, along Paki Avenue, there's a row of monkeypod trees. These trees are of the same species as the ones in the Hitachi song "What kind of tree is this tree?" It's my favorite tree-lined street.
38. オアフ島の公共交通機関「ザ・バス」

オアフ島の移動手段として、タクシー、トロリー、観光バス、レンタカーもあるが、私のお気に入りは「ザ・バス」。昔は$1/回であったが、今は$3/回、終点まで乗れる。冷房が良く効いており、清潔感のある車内。山越えに乗ると、なぜかいつも寝てしまう。
As transportation options on Oahu, there are taxis, trolleys, tour buses, and rental cars, but my favorite is "The Bus." It used to be $1 per ride, but now it's $3 per ride, and you can ride it to the end of the line. The air conditioning works well, and the interior is clean. Whenever I take the route over the mountains, I somehow always end up falling asleep.
39. 大田黒公園と錦鯉

東京・荻窪駅から歩いて10分ほどのところにある大田黒公園。小さいが整備の行き届いた落ち着きのある公園だ。鯉・錦鯉がたくさんおり、餌やりも楽しめる。
Otaguro Park, located about a 10-minute walk from Ogikubo Station in Tokyo. It's a small but well-maintained, peaceful park. There are many koi fish, Nishikigoi (colored carp), and you can enjoy feeding them.
40. 清澄庭園
40. Kiyosumi Gardens

清澄白河駅から歩いて5分程度のところ、清澄庭園を訪れた。10月中旬、青空の下、トンボが飛び交う輝かしい庭園を楽しむことができた。入口正面からの眺めを描いてみた。
I visited Kiyosumi Gardens, located about a 5-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. In mid-October, I could enjoy radiant gardens where dragonflies fluttered about under the blue sky. I painted a view from the main entrance.
